The definition, in detail

Definition

These lures carry no link, so filters often miss them.

Example

An office manager gets a renewal invoice for software the company never bought, with a support number to call to cancel the charge.

Provenance

How it is used

Programs count "Receives callback or voice phishing" per person from Email security and read it beside the other Social engineering signals; it feeds 0 cohorts, 1 sequence and 2 breach scenarios.

A "receives callback or voice phishing" record is evidence of what reaches the person (the threat side of the model). It says nothing on its own about what the person did.
