HRM BenchmarkHRM Maturity Model 2.0

Where human riskmanagement programs stand.

Every completed HRM Maturity Assessment adds one anonymous record when the person who took it consents. Once the first edition publishes, this page shows the aggregates: how programs spread across the five levels, how each practice scores, and how cohorts compare.

The first edition of the HRM Benchmark publishes when 25 organizations have contributed.

The cohort rule

Minimum 25 records. No name or email, ever.

Your answers, scores, level and profile (role, company size band, industry and region) are stored under a random identifier with no name, email or company attached. Your work email is stored in a separate system, linked only by that identifier, so your report can be sent to you. Your record is sent to the benchmark store only when you tick this box, and stored answers are used only in aggregate to build the Human Risk Management (HRM) Benchmark; no aggregate is published for any group with fewer than 25 records. You can ask for your record to be deleted at any time through the privacy contact named on the company site's privacy page.

A record is sent to the benchmark store only when the person who took the assessment ticks the aggregate-use box. The stored record holds the answers, the six practice scores, the overall score and level, the four profile fields, the model version, the source site and a timestamp, under a random identifier. A record is deleted on request through the privacy contact named on the company site's privacy page. The method is in the methodology.

How to read this

Four things to know before you compare

  1. 01A level share is the share of programs whose overall level, after the gating rule, is that level. Shares add up to 100%.
  2. 02A practice mean is a cohort average. Your own practice score sits on the same scale, so you can read the gap directly.
  3. 03Answers are self-reported by one person per program. Treat a difference under 0.2 between two cohorts as noise.
  4. 04Rows marked "Withheld" hold fewer than 25 records. They appear as the cohort grows.

The annual State of Human Risk report is generated from the same aggregates.
