HRM-GOV-12Term
Insider risk
The risk that a person with legitimate access misuses it on purpose. The taxonomy treats insider risk as a sibling discipline: its insider and privilege misuse breach scenario shares signals, while intent is handled by a separate program.
Example
A security director keeps the insider risk program with legal and HR, and shares the dormant-privilege signals with it.
